Reclast is a prescription medication that is injected once a year (or every two years; as per your treatment plan) for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It is also approved for the treatment of Paget's disease of the bone. It belongs to a group of medications known as bisphosphonates.
Do not take Reclasta injections if you have already been treated by Zometa for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
