Coreg CR (Carvedilol) is a once-a-day heart medication that is part of a class of drugs known as beta-blockers. Coreg CR (Carvedilol) treats people who have or had:hypertension, heart failure, and/or a heart attack that reduced how well the heart works/pumps blood. Coreg CR (Carvedilol) is a beta-blocker, which is a class of drugs that has been proven to lower your blood pressure.
Coreg CR (Carvedilol) Extended Release Capsules is similar to the medication Coreg. The difference is that the new Coreg CR comes in an extended release capsule version so it is necessary to take the medication just once a day and the medicine will slowly release into the body throughout the day.
