Amino Acid Cervical Cream is specifically formulated to facilitate healing of the cervix. It contains amino acids that serve as building blocks necessary for healing damaged tissues caused by chronic cervicitis, incompetent cervix and other health issues.
Methionine and cystine are amino acids necessary for wound healing. Inositol acts as an essential growth factor and promotes the formation of new tissue. Urea aids in the removal of damaged tissue and facilitates its replacement with new healthy tissue. A recently published clinical study evaluated the ability of cervical amino acid medication to promote healing of the cervix following a loop electrical excision procedure (LEEP) of the cervix for cervical cancer. The investigators noted that treated patients experienced more rapid healing, less malodor, and less discharge than untreated patients. Additionally, treated patients were able to resume sexual activity sooner and had less of a need to return for examinations than those not treated.
Amino Acid Cervical Cream is formulated with the same pH as that of a healthy cervix.
Care should be taken to insert the applicator ONLY three fourths (3/4) of an inch into the vagina. The applicator should NOT be inserted its full length into the vagina following any cervical procedure. Feminine hygiene sprays as well as other vaginal or cervical medications should not be used in conjunction with Amino Acid Cervical Cream as the chemicals in these other products may interact with the ingredients in Amino Acid Cervical Cream.
DOSAGE
One applicator full should be injected nightly upon retiring for 2 to 4 weeks (the duration of treatment depends on extent of the procedure performed).
PROPER USE OF APPLICATOR:
Remove cap. Attach threaded end of applicator by screwing onto tube.
Hold tube with attached applicator up. Squeeze tube from bottom until medication fills applicator.
Detach applicator from the tube. Gently insert applicator approximately 3/4 inch into vagina. Depress plunger to disperse medication into the vagina. Keep the plunger depressed until the applicator is removed from the vagina.
Clean the applicator after use, not later than next morning. An unclean applicator may not function properly. Flush with warm water until no trace of cream remains. APPLICATOR MAY BE STERILIZED BY BOILING.
