Nilandron (nilutamide tablet) is a antiandrogen used to treat prostate cancer. Nilandron (nilutamide tablets) are called Anandron (Nilutamide) in Canada.
Before Using Nilandron (nilutamide tablet): Nilandron (nilutamide) may infrequently cause lung problems (interstitial pneumonitis), which rarely may be fatal. Seek immediate medical attention if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: trouble breathing, persistent cough, chest pain, fever. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., chest X-ray, lung function) may be performed to monitor your progress. Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine.
USE OF Nilandron (nilutamide tablets) IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of liver or breathing conditions. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking Nilandron (nilutamide tablets).
How to Use Nilandron (nilutamide): Follow the directions for using Nilandron (nilutamide) provided by your doctor.
STORE Nilandron (nilutamide)at room temperature, away from heat and light.
IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF Nilandron (nilutamide), take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Cautions: Nilandron (nilutamide) MAY CAUSE CHANGES IN EYESIGHT, especially when moving from light to dark areas. Wearing sunglasses when you are in bright light may be helpful. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL while you are using Nilandron (nilutamide).
DO NOT STOP USING Nilandron (nilutamide) without first checking with your doctor. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are using this medicine.
BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using Nilandron (nilutamide).
Nilandron (nilutamide) Side Effects: SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include changes in eyesight, hot flashes, decreased sexual desire, nausea, vomiting, constipation, upset stomach, dizziness, headaches, or difficulty sleeping.
CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience difficulty breathing, stomach pain, or yellowing of the skin or eyes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Nilandron (nilutamide) Overdose: Contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and general discomfort.
DO NOT SHARE Nilandron (nilutamide) with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE Nilandron (nilutamide) for other health conditions. KEEP Nilandron (nilutamide) out of the reach of children.
